Irgendwie und doch nicht ganz - &nd ist der Verweis au den Playmade Katalog (010) und gleichzeitig der Startschuss für &nd. Ein Label, dass sich mit gleich zwei hochnostalgisch anmutenden Herbstnummern ins Licht der Diskos wagt. Sascha Funke wandelt sanft und geschmeidig auf Minimal Trance Pfaden, die nur er so schlafwandlerisch stilsicher beschreiten kann und IVF, der neueste &nd Zugang, übt sich in einer Neudefinition von Melancholie. Sehr schöne Platte *****(Andi - De:Bug 10/06)
The &nd label used to be called Playmade, but apparently they had to change the name. That's a shame as they were building up a nice little rep with tracks by Audision and remixes from the likes of Lawrence. This follows the territory by being melodic, deep, yet extremely playable Techno with a remix from Sascha Funke on one side and an original track from IVF on the flip. The IVF track is the one for me as it sounds a little like Lawrence at times with lush chords and a tasty melodic feel, coupled with slightly tougher beats then the aforementioned. Great stuff. Don't ignore! (Smallfish/London)
"&" was the driving force behind the jockey's secret weapon Playmade, a notoriously hard to track down label, beloved of the likes of Hawtin et al. Now they step it on up and forward to another level, leaving Playmade behind them to focus on "&". The old and the new labels seem to fuse on this remix for Audisionīs "vanish" by Sascha Funke, together with a fresh track "Celine" from newcomer IVF. Funke is of course a veteran of both the Kompakt and Bpitch Control labels, as well as his own newly founded Memo imprint, and the mix here shows his best side, a killer berlin melancholic bass throbber. Ivf's tune also bodes well for the future of And Music - boss the dancefloor with both sides of this naughty twelve. (www.boomkat.com www.boomkat.com )
